Great guiding to great spots. Bojan was as great a guide as we could have hoped. We were a group of three, 2 adults and one 11 year old and very new to fly fishing. Bojan took the time and we made it a successful day with lots of catches and learnt a lot.
Definitely recommended.
The Soča River is spectacular and I can’t think of a way to get closer to it than fly fishing. Bojan knows all the spots and is a patient and talented teacher. I wish I had been able to do a full day to improve my casting, but the half day was a highlight of my trip. I highly recommend that any newcomer or experienced fisherman spend some time with Bojan!

Bojan is a fantastic guide. We were a group of experienced anglers and he’s the best guide we’ve had. Incredibly knowledgable and experienced but also a lovely chap with a good sense of humour. We feel very fortunate to have had four days with him and caught some remarkable fish. Very well versed in a variety of techniques - some new to us - and he has a fantastic knowledge of locations to find the right spot for the conditions every time. Can’t wait to fish with him again!
It was a great day. I've never been flyfishing, but I caught three fish this time. It was unbelievable. I recommended it.

I was very happy with my time fishing with Soca Trout. Ana was very helpful in the planning and coordination of the trip and Bojan was a great guide and patient instructor who helped me with the Slovensko technique. We moved around throughout the day to several beautiful stretches of water, all of which held fish. I was so thrilled to get to experience the Soca River and appreciate Ana/Bojan for hosting me. Soca Trout and Bojan were great. The Soca is one of the most beautiful rivers I’ve ever seen as well as fished. My goal was marble trout and I could not be happier than with this large marble. Tough late season fishing but plenty of rainbows and a few other marbles to make a great two days with Bojan and his efforts to put me on fish..

I've been fly fishing for about 30 years, and I went with my wife who is new to the sport. Bojan created a perfectly tailored trip for us. He called in his wife, Ana, who worked with my wife and had her casting dry flies right to the target zone with dead drifts in no time. We caught a lot of big healthy gorgeous rainbows on both dry flies and nymphs. The Soca river is one of the prettiest rivers I have ever fished with gin clear water and amazing scenery. It was a fantastic trip.
So happy I booked Soča Trout. We had a great two days fishing all over the system and caught fish throughout both days, despite me finding the fishing pretty tricky!
Bojan knows exactly how to find and catch these rainbows and marble trout. He can spot fish in the water and change fly faster then most humans blink and I’m very grateful 😊

We were 3, 2 beginners and one advanced participant. Bojan handled this with ease and brought us different hidden spots. Amazing nature. Result of the day: 5 catches and 5 more drills.

Bojan my guide for the day was simply excellent. This was my first trip to the Soca valley and I’m extremely pleased I chose Socatrout.
His patience and friendly advice from the start of the day, discussing what I wanted to know, what my level of experience was and what I wanted to achieve out of the day. As I was spending 4 days in total in the region, Bojan suggested we discover many different rivers and pools.
We travelled and fished 5 different rivers, (caught fish in every river). Bojan’s knowledge of all the access points, parking areas and best pools where trout could be found, set me up for the week ahead. As the following 3 days on my own, it was easy to go back, park my car, find the easy access to the same rivers and pools. Places I would NEVER of discovered on my own. Which resulted in me catching lots more trout on my 4 day trip.
I guess spending over 9 hrs with a stranger can be a daunting thought, but Bojan was great to spend time with, while I fishing, and taking his friendly informative advice, or just chatting in the van while travelling to different locations. Even a trip to the tackle shop!
Bojan worked hard at finding fish, planning the next river, tying my flys on, suggesting we try different techniques and scooping up the fish I caught in his net. I felt really privileged to have that level of service.
Also the photos Bojan took were great, and captured the moment perfectly.
